Kaveh Zahedi is the Deputy Executive Secretary, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
In this role, Zahedi supports the countries of Asia and the Pacific to turn their sustainable development and regional connectivity aspirations into action. He has been working in the United Nations for over twenty years setting up and implementing multi stakeholder initiatives and major technical support programmes cutting across the economic, social and environmental pillars of sustainable development. During this time, he has been based in Thailand, Kenya, Mexico, France and England. Zahedi has a Masters degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University (USA) and a B.Sc (Econ. 1st Class) from University College London (UK).
